Q: What are the auction terms and conditions?
All sales conducted by Arrow Auctions and Arrow Motor Auctions are carried put under our standard conditions of sale, copies of which can be viewed below.
Additional conditions may apply and these will be shown in the auction catalogue, made as an announcement by the autioneer or published on-line in the case of on-line auction sales.
Q: Who can attend an auction and are there any bidding restrictions?
Anyone can attend our auctions but it is expected that persons under the age of sixteen be accompanied by an adult. Bidding can only be completed by persons aged eighteen or over.
Q: How do I bid on an item / motor vehicle?
Before bidding on any lot you must obtain a bidding number by registering and, if applicable, paying a deposit. All deposits are refundable if no purchases are made and deductable on any purchase made. You may also be requested to show ID.
Q: What forms of payment does Arrow Auctions accept?
Payments can be made by cash to a maximum of £5,000, banker’s draft, debit / credit card or bank transfer; all credit card transactions are subject to a 3% surcharge (plus VAT).
Q: When must I collect my purchased item?
Purchased items must be collected by the time stated in the sale catalogue or in the ‘Important Sale Information’ in the case of on-line sales. Failure to do so will result in storage charges being made.
Q: What is a ‘Buyer’s Premium’?
Buyer’s Premium is a percentage charge (which varies from sale to sale) which is made on top of the hammer price; VAT is payable on the premium.
